How it works.

  1. Step 1: call your clinic after hours

Call your nearest Village Vet+ location after hours and press 5.

  2. Step 2: speak with a registered veterinary technician

You'll be connected with an RVT who can listen, triage, and help you figure out what to do next.

  3. Step 3: continue the conversation by text

After your initial call, your RVT will follow up with you by text so you can stay in touch throughout the night. Send updates, share photos, ask follow-up questions. You won't be left alone with a worry and a wait.

  4. Step 4: leave with a clear next step

Whether that's monitoring at home, booking an appointment in the morning, or heading to an emergency clinic — you'll know exactly what to do.

Everything you need to know.

Do I need to be a Village Vet+ patient to use this?

No. This service is free and open to everyone.

Who will I speak with?

A Registered Veterinary Technician who can help you triage your concern, understand your options, and decide on the right next step for your pet.

What can telehealth help with?

Late-night worries, weekend questions, sudden changes in behaviour, medication concerns, post-visit follow-ups, and anything where you're unsure whether your pet needs to be seen right away.

Is this a replacement for emergency care?

No. If your pet is having trouble breathing, has collapsed, is bleeding heavily, has had a seizure, or may have eaten something toxic, please go directly to an emergency clinic. Our technician can help direct you, but telehealth does not replace in-person emergency care.
